Rules of Entry
Participants must be at least 10 years of age to participate in the SkyPoint Sea to Sky Q1 Stair Challenge, or 8+ years if participating in the Junior Buddies Climb**.
Cost of Entry
* The Everest Team Challenge (SOLD OUT) is only for the super fit. A maximum of four teams will be allowed to enter this category and will be made up of 10 participants per team who aim to complete 40 ascents (40 x 230m = 9200m) of the building in total. While this averages 4 ascents per person, one team member may do more climbs than another if required. Completion will have your team exceeding the height of Everest (8848m). All persons must enter as individuals initially. If you have a group of 10, enter online and then email firstname.lastname@example.org . We will then put your members together as a team after all are officially registered. If keen to take on the challenge but not sure your friends wish to join you, we will add you to a team of other individual Everest enthusiasts. The cost is $90 per person. If you ascend 4 times it averages $22.50 per climb. Great value and we guarantee you will never look at Q1 the same way ever again! The Everest Team Challenge participants will be the first group to start at 6.55am. After each ascent simply come to the front of the start line to go again. You have until the last climb at 10.45am to complete the challenge.
Everest Rules - the winning team must have 10 participants with 7 of them completing at least 4 ascents each. Once a team has completed 40 ascents their individual lap times will be added together and the lowest overall lap times is considered the fastest team. Each Everest team has from 6.55am -10.45am to complete all ascents. If you need a break in between, this may be a great idea to ensure your ascent time is as quick as possible. No climbers in any category may start after 10.45am. If an Everest participant would like to have a time recorded in another event category (and be eligible for prizes) they must register for that category online and the best of their first two climbs of the day will count for both Everest and the other nominated category.

** Junior Buddies 2 person teams must consist of 1 adult and 1 child (over the age of 8), the adult team member must stay with the child team member from start to finish to ensure safety.
Online entries opening soon. You can enter online until 12 noon on Saturday the day prior to the event (unless the event is sold out prior to this date). Please check individual and team category times to ensure you arrive at the correct time. Entry on the day (provided places are still available) can be paid for with cash only.
All participants are required to pledge a minimum of $35 above and beyond their event registration as fundraising. All monies raised via fundraising assists homeless men and women on the Gold Coast via our charity partner, Rosies Friends on the Street.
To really make every step count we suggest informing family and friends about your climb on social media and email. Simply inform them that 'I am taking on the tallest Building in Australia'. This is a great way to let everyone know what you're doing and you will be amazed at just who decides to donate $$ towards your climb...$35 - easy!
Enter on the Day
Provided that the event is not sold out a limited number of 'on the day' entries will be available. These entries are more expensive than online entries.
If injured or unable to participate we allow participants to transfer their registration to a friend provided that this is done no less than 3 days prior to the event. No refunds are provided.
